Iosif Ktenidis

President

Iosif Ktenidis is Professor of EU Law at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Law School. He holds a law degree and a PhD from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Law School, and an LL.M. degree from Harvard Law School. He is member of the Thessaloniki Bar Association and he has served as Director of the Judicial Department and Chairman of the Legal Council of Piraeus Bank (2001-2019). He is a member of the Special Constitutional Court of arts. 88 and 99 (2023/2024) and he is director of the LL.M. Program “European Business and Economic Law” at the Aristotle University. Since 2024, he is Chairman of the Centre for European Legal Culture of the Aristotle University. He has published four monographs and a number of articles on matters of EU law, including EU constitutional law, external relations law, banking law, EMU and fiscal law, and fundamental rights protection. His last book (“Law of the European Banking Union”, Sakkoulas Publications, in Greek) was published in 2022.
