Filimon Peonidis is Professor of Moral and Political Philosophy at the School of Philosophy and Education of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and director of the Philosophy Lab Texts and Interpretations. He has studied at AUTH, the London School of Economics and the University of Crete. He has had visiting and teaching appointments at various universities in London, Toronto, Vancouver, Melbourne, Antwerp, Hamburg, Berlin and Athens. His writings  focus on moral theory, liberalism, freedom of expression, informal logic, normative democratic theory and the history of democratic traditions. His publications include thirteen books, the latest of which is entitled Philosophical Perspectives on Freedom of Expression (2024).
